Fame

私は日頃から、名声に価値を持って、連ねる人が苦手です。名声は目的にしたり憧れるものではなく、後からついてくるものだと信じるところがあって、追うものではないと思ってます。結果論としてそれを備えた人だけは本物だと思います。

I am not found of people who value fame and cling to it. Fame isn't something to be aimed for or aspire to; I believe it's something that comes later, not something to be chased after. In hindsight, I think only those who possess it are the real deal.

Fashion

ファッションは名前を着るのでなく、たまたま大好きな洋服が好きなデザイナーの作品だったというのがいい。または本当にそのデザイナーの作るものを信用してそのブランドを着る。そしてその大好きな洋服は人に自慢するために着るのではなく、自分の気分を高めるために着たい。

Fashion isn't about wearing a name; it's good when your favorite clothes happen to be from your favorite designer. Or you wear a brand because you truly trust what that designer creates. And I want to wear those clothes I love not to show off to others, but to lift my own spirits.

Art

芸術は、大都市の芸術愛好家だけのものではない。数十年前にアフリカに行ったとき、芸術、音楽、ダンスは、衣食住と同じくらい大切だと気づいた。それらは人々に笑顔をもたらし、すなわち、人生における最も重要な源の一つである。だから街頭、地下鉄、スーパーマーケットなど、「芸術愛好家」だけでなく、誰もが見ることができる公の場で芸術を披露するというアイデアがとても好きになった。

アフリカの人たちはピカソもゴッホも知らない。でも、私たちが魂からアートを創造する限り、彼らの純粋な目を通して理解してくれると確信した。芸術は大都市で作られる必要はなく、魂さえ込めれば、どこにいても世界中で評価されるアートを創造することができるのだ。

Art is not only for art lovers in big cities. When I went to Africa decades ago, I realized that art, music, dance are as important as clothes, food and houses. They bring smiles to people's faces, in other words, one of the most important sources of life. That’s why I love the idea of showing art in public places - on the streets, subways, supermarkets, etc.- where anybody can see it, not just “art lovers”.

And they knew neither Picasso nor Van Gogh. But I’m convinced that as long as we create art from our soul, they'll understand it through their pure eyes. Art doesn't have to be created in a big city; as long as you put your soul into it, you're creating art that can be appreciated around the world, no matter where you are.

Power of Great Life in the Universe

太陽、土、水、空気の力で地球は無限な色、形、音、香り、味、そして生命を創り出し、私たちはそれらをいただきながら自然の中で共存している。それぞれが違いを受け入れ、感謝とやさしさを心に抱けば、それが宇宙の大生命のパワーに繋がっていく。

With the power of the sun, soil, water, and air, the Earth creates an infinite number of colors, shapes, sounds, scents, flavors, and life, and we coexist in nature while enjoying these things. If we each accept our differences and have gratitude and kindness in our hearts, this will connect us to the power of the great life in the universe.

Voice of My Soul

My painting is seasonal. 

I can only paint at that moment, I cannot paint or copy the same again.

Because I am already different from the past. 

My painting is not a design or surface. It's the voice of my soul.
